I have tested many keyboards for Raspberry Pi here if you have nothing decent, any PC keyboard and mouse should be fine. I like to do the headless installation or use a mini keyboard with a touchpad, but as the goal here is to use Ubuntu with a desktop environment, a comfortable setup is recommended. Or at least something that delivers the same power input ( don’t use a random phone charger, as explained here, especially for Ubuntu).
